Publisher Sales Manager
Shiny Ads is looking for a publisher sales person who excels in establishing long-term, mutually beneficial partnerships with large digital media companies and premium publishers. You will be a key member of a sales team involved in prospecting, selling, and closing long term relationships.
Total compensation is a combination of competitive base salary, sales commission and stock options and will be based on your experience.
The position will be based either in Toronto or New York City and may require travel.
Responsibilities
- Prospect, negotiate and close advertising technology agreements with premium publishers
- Negotiate and finalize commercial terms
- Cultivate new business relationships in both online avenues and in-person events
- Demonstrate an understanding of online advertising and web publisher industries
Qualifications
- Ideal candidate will have worked at an ad serving technology company, an ad network and/or large media company
- Strong knowledge and familiarity with online advertising models, ad operations, media buys, and advertising technologies
- Strong set of existing relationships with large media companies at the VP Sales level, VP/Director, ad-ops
- Solid relationship building skills and the ability to take initiative and engage with new prospects
- Success in consistently meeting and exceeding sales goals
- Good sense of humour and attitude
- Be comfortable working in a startup environment

Publisher Relations Account Management
Shiny Ads is looking for a solutions driven Account Manager to handle post-sales publisher engagements and relationships.
The candidate's goal will be to increase revenue from new and current customers by working with them to make their self-serve advertising more successful.
The position will be based in Toronto or New York City and requires very little travel.
The Account Manager is expected to consistently provide excellent customer service to accounts, as well as represent client needs and goals within the organization to ensure quality.
Responsibilities
- Assist new and existing customers with their launch and ongoing marketing of Shiny Ads' products to help them increase revenues
- Responsible for all client communications, conflict resolution, and compliance on client deliverables and revenue growth and sustainability
- Ensure quality standards and client expectations are met and exceeded
- Ensures that client issues are dealt with in a professional, efficient and timely manner
- Works closely with the clients in order to maintain a continuous knowledge of project status in order to identify potential issues and/or opportunities within or related to the project
- Take ownership of your work and ensure all processes and procedures are completed, quality standards are met, and that projects are profitable
- Communicates the client's goals and represent the client's interests to the team
- Provides regular two-way communication between the client and team, to provide strong team representation and set proper client expectations
- Understanding of company capabilities and service, and effectively communicates all offerings to the client
Qualifications
- Proven Account Management skills required in order to maintain and enhance customer relationships
- Minimum 3 years of Account/project management experience in a media environment (ad networks, media buyers, web publishers, advertising technologies)
- Knowledge of ad operations and a strong understanding of the advertising industry
- Extremely detail oriented
- Motivated, goal oriented and highly skilled in client working with C-level executives
- High level of initiative and work well in a team environment
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English (internal & external)
- Personable and quick thinking to handle customer enquiries and problems
- Good sense of humour and attitude
- Be comfortable working in a startup environment
